  At one time I loved this store but find the staff is less helpful, less engaging, uninterested in the customers, and increasingly off putting and even condescending. I will now go only when I absolutely need food. I find myself trying to go to another Pet Valu location, Innes Rd to have a pleasurable experience.

  I love this store. The staff is great, especially the manager and they really helped out flood victims during the spring floods.

  Staff leaves you with the impression they could care less about their jobs. When I called to see if a special order was in they said no and when I proceeded to question if they could check if it was on back order so I could make other arrangements they said no without an explanation as to why. With each question I received what I considered a non response and an attitude that I was annoying them. I took someone with me when I went in to pick up my order and once again the attitude of staff was as if we were bothering them. My dogs are elderly and require a lot of extra supplies that don't come cheap. The Rockland store doesn't seem to care how many hundreds of dollars a customer is paying monthly for the care of their pets so I have made arrangements to buy all their special foods, supplements etc at a different pet centre where my business is appreciated. Pet Valu might want to train staff with basic manners before they lose even more customers because you've lost two customers with multiple pets (7) because of the attitude we were confronted with on our last visit.

  I love the new manager at this location. She is very knowledgeable as is her staff !
